How do you properly wash your hands? How long should you wash your hands with soap and water, or clean them with an alcohol-based product, to get rid of germs, including bacteria and viruses such as coronavirus?
Twenty seconds.
It turns out, the University of Michigan fight song, "The Victors", has a built-in timer to help you remember that's just perfect.
From the moment you start washing or rubbing your hands together, just hum these lyrics to yourself. Sing out loud, or just in your head. Make sure to use the same motions shown in the video to get all the surfaces of your hands clean. Then finish with a big "Go Blue!" and a punch in the air at the end.
Lyrics to the University of Michigan fight song "The Victors":
Hail! to the Victors valiant
Hail! to the conquering heroes
Hail! Hail! To Michigan
The Leaders and Best ...
Hail! to the Victors valiant
Hail! to the conquering heroes
Hail! Hail! To Michigan
The Champions of the West!
